TL;DR: Reminder lets you snooze a chat so you can come back to it later. Just pick a time, anything from 1 minute to a specific date, and Beeper will bring the chat back to your Inbox with a reminder tag when it’s time to follow up.

What Chat Reminders Does

Chat Reminder gives you the peace of mind that if you're not ready to respond to a message or have to follow up with someone at a later time, you can mark the chat in question as a reminder and select the time that fits your need. From one minute to the date and time you choose, once marked as a reminder, the chat will come up to Inbox with a Reminder indicator.

How to Use It (By Platform)

On Desktop

  1. Right-click the chat in question.
  2. Select Remind Me.
  3. Choose from the options or make a Custom reminder.

What you’ll notice:

  • On Beeper Desktop → Gear (Settings) → General, you can enable “Archive after setting reminder on chat”. Once the time of the reminder comes up, the chat will move to the Inbox.
  • Keep in mind that if you set the reminder with the “Until a reply” option enabled, you might receive the chat in Inbox before if you receive a new message to the chat. There's an option to receive the reminder at the time you choose; click "Regardless".

On Android

  1. Long-press the chat in question.
  2. Select Remind Me.
  3. Choose from the options or make a Custom reminder.

Key behavior:

  • On Beeper Android → Stack icon (top-left corner) → Gear (Settings) → Preferences → Inbox, you can enable “Archive chat when setting a reminder”.

On iOS

  1. Long-press the chat in question.
  2. Select Remind Me.
  3. Choose from the options or make a Custom reminder.

Key behavior:

  • On Beeper iOS → Stack icon (top-left corner) → Gear (Settings) → Preferences → Inbox, you can enable “Archive after setting reminder on chat”.

Platform Sync Behavior

Your Reminder syncs across platforms. Setting a Reminder in iOS triggers Android and Desktop. You’ll receive the reminder indicator in all other apps when the time comes.

Tips & Notes

  • Stay organized – Use reminders to keep track of messages you need to respond to later.
  • Flexible timing – Set a reminder for as soon as 1 minute or pick a specific date and time that works for you.
  • Inbox resurfacing – The chat will reappear in your Inbox with a clear Reminder label, so you won’t forget it.
  • Peace of mind – No need to keep mental tabs on every conversation—just snooze and let Beeper remind you.
  • Great for follow-ups – Perfect for messages you want to revisit after a meeting, task, or specific event.
  • Reduce stress – Helps avoid message overload by letting you prioritize what needs your attention now vs. later.

Having Issues?

If Reminders aren't working as expected, please double-check that you are on +Beeper Plus or ++Beeper Plus Plus. If your paid subscription is enabled and active, and it's still not working, please grab screenshots and screen recordings of the behavior and attach them to a report from the app in question.
