Can I delete the official chat network apps after I connect my account to Beeper?

For Google Messages, WhatsApp, and Signal, you must keep the official app installed on an active mobile phone for it to work with Beeper. In the case of Google Messages, it must be set as the Default SMS app.

For all other networks, you can remove the official app from your phone without losing the connection to that network in Beeper. 

As a best practice though, we recommend keeping it still installed in your device in the event that you need to perform an action that is not yet supported in Beeper.
