Uninstalling Beeper on Windows

Sometimes, Windows system processes may prevent all Beeper files from being removed during the standard uninstallation process. This can cause issues—particularly when attempting to reinstall the app.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Uninstall Beeper via Add/Remove Programs
    • Open the Start menu, search for "Add or Remove Programs," locate Beeper, and uninstall it.
  2. Remove Remaining Files from AppData
    • Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.
    • Type %AppData% and press Enter.
    • This opens the AppData\Roaming folder.
    • Locate and delete the Beeper folder.
  3. Check for Additional Files
    • To ensure a clean uninstall, manually delete the following folders if they exist:

C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Programs\beeper
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\beeper-updater

💡 After removing these folders, you should be able to reinstall Beeper without any issues.

Uninstalling Beeper on macOS

macOS apps often leave behind support files even after the app is removed. To completely uninstall Beeper, simply dragging the app to the Trash isn’t enough. Here are your options:

Option 1: Use a Third-Party App Cleaner

We recommend using an app cleaner utility for macOS to ensure all Beeper-related files are removed. There are several options available—choose one that you trust and follow the app's instructions to uninstall Beeper thoroughly.

Option 2: Manual Removal via Finder

  1. Open Finder.
  2. Click on the Go menu in the top menu bar.
  3. Hold the Option key and select Library from the dropdown.
  4. In the Library folder, use the Search bar to look for files and folders related to Beeper.
  5. Manually move any Beeper-related items to the Trash.

By following these steps, you can ensure that Beeper is fully removed from your system—whether you're troubleshooting, performing a clean install, or just clearing up space.
