Beeper iOS: App Settings
Beeper iOS Settings: What's included?
Your Beeper iOS app's settings are accessible by clicking on the three-sheet icon on the top left corner of your screen. From there, click on ‘Settings’ at the bottom of the page, and it should take you here:

1) Network Connections
Beeper iOS now allows users to manage chat networks instead of having to log in to Beeper's desktop and manage them from there. For more information, please visit this page: Beeper iOS: Network Connections
2) Report a Problem
Need to submit a bug report, feedback, or suggestion? Just click ‘Report a Problem’ from your Settings page, add your description and any applicable screenshot, then submit.

3) Inbox Swipe Actions
Aside from the menu that you see when you long press on a chat in your inbox list, users can also swipe left and right on chats in the inbox to perform quick actions. You can set up which action you want for Swipe Left or Swipe Right by going to this section in Settings and selecting from the following options: Mark read/unread, Archive/unarchive, Mute/unmute.

4) Advanced: Developer Menu
.
Rename iMessage users with contacts: Because of the way that our iMessage integration is built, iMessage chats may get pulled in to Beeper without the contact name. If you'd like to see your contact's name as the title of the chat room, you can select this setting to activate it.
5) Remove the Recovery Code from the iCloud Keychain
When you sign in to the Beeper iOS app or sign up for a new account, your Recovery Code is saved automatically into the iCloud Keychain API. This is done so you won't have to enter your recovery code again when you restore your device, set up a new iOS device, or reinstall the app.
As of December 2024, your Recovery Code won't be automatically added as an item in Settings > Passwords, so you will have to create an entry there manually. Here are the steps you can follow to do so. This will change in the future and will be done automatically for you instead.
If you select ‘Remove Recovery Code from iCloud Keychain’, this deletes your Recovery Code from your Keychain, so the next time you sign in to Beeper, you will be prompted to enter your Recovery Code manually again.
Use case: Typically, only users with broken encryption on their device should use this option as guided by our Support Team.

6) Logout
If you want to log out of your Beeper app, go to Settings > Logout. This signs you out and ensures your messages are not pulled into Beeper iOS until you log in again. You will need to confirm that you want to log out through the menu that pops up to successfully log out.

7) App version
If you'd like to know the current version of your Beeper app, you can find it listed right underneath the ‘Logout’ button in settings.
